Since 1883 the Gretsch Company has designed and manufactured the world's best drums, guitars, and musical instrument accessories. In 2008 we celebrated our 125th anniversary. To commemorate our legacy as well as celebrate the "first year of our next 100 years", Gretsch planned a worldwide celebration, including publicity campaigns, limited edition instruments and identity items, and special events. In the course of planning for our 125th year in business, we discovered that many other leading companies and institutions were also established in 1883.
